“I founded Source Legal in 2011 after working as a general counsel in a large company and realising that a good legal department can really become a true partner and add a lot of value to a business. When I saw that most businesses don’t have access to quality legal services because of their size, I decided to replicate a well-run legal department, but to make it available for smaller and mid-sized companies.

I created a model akin to what good in-house lawyers do – which is being fast, responsive, practical, decisive and simple in the way we communicate and solve problems.

I am passionate about value-based pricing. Our pricing is all about the client, not about us or our time. We ask ourselves the question. ‘What are our services worth to this clients in view of their size, stage of their business, complexity of their operations, and ongoing needs for support?’ We always agree the price with the client upfront.

I firmly believe that Source is leading the way of the future with our model of providing high quality unlimited professional support on a monthly retainer basis.

Hayley Furer

Source HR Director

Hayley is the Source HR Director, with expertise in helping businesses navigate change and create thriving workplaces. A member of the management team, Hayley is a commercially astute HR expert with extensive business partnering capability.

“I started my career as a recruitment consultant in the UK, but soon discovered I really enjoyed the strategic elements of a broader HR role. I love being able to problem-solve, share insights, and make a difference to organisations by providing solutions that lead to positive outcomes.

An early turning point in my career was when I explored why attrition was so high in a particular business. As a result, they were able to reduce attrition significantly within six months – saving money and boosting productivity. It’s those sorts of tangible outcomes that drive me, and it’s that approach that I bring my clients.

My greatest satisfaction is when I can transform the HR function from being perceived as a roadblock for stakeholders, to being seen as a strategic enabler. For me, it’s about being a business partner that aligns people outcomes to the business strategy. People are a company’s top asset. If you get performance and productivity right, then you get success for your business.”
